At Kindred Speech Therapy, we believe in a holistic approach, which includes parents and caregivers, to help each child make progress toward their speech and language goals.
Preschool Screenings
A brief speech and language screening can help determine if your child's communication skills are appropriate. Screenings are completed at local preschools within Genesee County with whom we are currently partnered.
Based on screener results, an evaluation may be recommended for more information about your child's communication strengths and weaknesses.
Evaluations
An evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that is used to determine your child's communication strengths and weaknesses.
Evaluations take approximately an hour, and may include standardized testing, informal play observations, and parent report.
Therapy Sessions
Speech therapy treatment is individualized and tailored to your child's needs.
Therapy sessions will be based on your child's speech goals and objectives.
Strategies used will be evidence-informed as well as engaging and play-based.
